CPH Mental Health Counseling supports a variety of different patients. We serve children, adolescents, adults, and families who are in need of psychological and support services for the various challenges and concerns.

Meet Our Team
Danielle Cook, MS, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Owner/Director
Danielle Cook is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with over 10 years of clinical experience. In 2021, she became the Owner and Director of CPH Mental Health Counseling (formerly The Center for Psychosexual Health). She received her dual master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Canisius College, giving her experience in both school and clinical settings. Due to her unique training, Danielle has presented on Gender Dysphoria, in addition to other specialties provided by CPH, to WNY schools, universities, agencies, and community groups. She has provided education at the state and national level as well as provided assessment material for the international WPATH conference in Amsterdam in June 2016. She is also a team member for the Disorders of Sex Development (DSD) multidisciplinary team at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo.
In addition to her role as Director and therapist at CPH, Danielle is also the Executive Director for the Children’s Growth Foundation and a master's level Adjunct Professor at Canisius College.
Danielle has also been named one of Business First's 40 Under 40 honorees in 2015, was the recipient of the Gay and Lesbian Youth Services (GLYS) Friendship Award in 2016, the recipient of 2020 Community Service Award from Embrace Western New York and was named one of Business First's Who's Who in Healthcare in 2021.

Courtney Carey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Courtney completed her undergraduate degree with Canisius College in Psychology in 2007 and graduated with a master’s degree from Canisius College in School and Community Mental Health Counseling in 2011. Courtney received a Certificate in Trauma Informed Care and Counseling from the University at Buffalo in 2015. Courtney has worked in community mental health settings as an outpatient mental health therapist, working with adults with mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and posttraumatic stress disorder. Courtney has most recently served as the clinical supervisor for a local outpatient mental health treatment center and continues to work in a utilization review capacity.
Courtney has extensive experience with individual, couples, and group counseling. She has training and proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma informed care and counseling.

Eric Frasch is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Eric completed his undergraduate degree with Wadhams Hall Seminary College in Philosophy in 1999, completed a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Christ the King Seminary in 2005, and a master’s degree from Canisius College in Mental Health Counseling in 2020. Eric has worked in community mental health settings as an outpatient substance use and mental health therapist, working with adults and adolescents with mental health diagnoses including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder. He also had experienced working with couples, individuals, and group counseling. He has training and proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed care and counseling. He uses he/him/his pronouns.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Brooke Ayoub is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), who graduated from SUNY, University at Buffalo. Brooke has worked in various mental health settings in both Erie and Niagara County working with individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and post traumatic stress disorder. Much of Brooke’s experience is derived from working with children, adolescents, and adults in crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
Brooke also holds a master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Auburn University and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) at New York State Education Department, Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR). Brooke’s primary focus is assist and support individuals with mental health diagnoses entering the workforce.
Lastly, Brooke is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500), who enjoys bringing yoga, ayurveda, and mindfulness meditation into her practice. She uses she/her/hers pronouns.

Support Group Facilitator
Aden Cook is a clinical psychologist who earned his Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Medaille College in Buffalo where his dissertation examined the experiences of mental health clinicians working with transgender clients. He has a variety of training experiences including an APA-Accredited internship at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center where he served a diverse population of individuals with a number of complex psychiatric presentations and trauma experiences.
Aden worked and volunteered as a youth mentor and trans* educator supporting and advocating for LGBTQIA+ youth in WNY throughout his high school and college years. He is currently completing a post-doctoral residency with Cornell University’s Counseling and Psychological Services program in Ithaca, New York where he works with a diverse population of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
Aden identifies as a man of transgender experience and uses he/him pronouns. As a past patient at CPH, Aden is dedicated to helping those individuals who were similarly questioning their identities.

Outreach Coordinator
Marvin Henchbarger is an educator who has worked with young people as a high school biology teacher and as a staff member in Residence Life & Housing at the SUNY College at Oswego. However, her favorite career involved supporting and advocating for LGBTQIA+ youth in WNY from 2000-2017.
As Outreach Coordinator she will work to connect CPH Mental Health Counseling with the larger community and serve as a link with the individuals and families it aims to assist.
Terms that she might use to identify herself include cisgender, female, lesbian, and gender expansive.
